Ok, i can't really tell what is wrong here, i've also checked on my end and its working fine for me. You can debug further if you look in the /extensions/cart_module/controller/Cart_module.php controller file, within the add() method. You'll see there that the only cases where "Error occured" is returned is when request is not an Ajax request and item wasn't successfully added to cart. Maybe that will help.

@anth, yes the fix will let you use symbols in your menu items name.

Quick questions @Sampoyigi - will this fix issues with menu items that have symbols in them e.g. fish & chips. I did have to change all my menus items that had symbols in.

Hello,

After setting up a list for the restaurant and their respective prices. When trying to click on the "Add to cart" button , it does not work.

An exception "Error occurred, please check and try again" pops up.

What am i doing wrong ? How can i debug this ?

Thanks for replying here sampoyigi .. I captured the logs . The request header is not very different apart form the fact that there are GA id's as well in the demo.tastyigniter.

Other than that this is all that i see in the error logs .. what else can i check ? I am getting under the My Order section "Error occurred, please check and try again." error. Any direction can be very useful.

Thanks for the direction Sampoyogi. I looked at the add() function in "/extensions/cart_module/controller/Cart_module.php". All the error codes come with a description. Unfortunately none of them matches this description. "Error occurred, please check and try again."

So, the error desc is present in cart_module_lang.php file [php]$lang['alert_bad_request'] = '<p class="alert-danger">Error occurred, please check and try again.</p>'; $lang['alert_unknown_error'] = '<p class="alert-danger">Error occurred, please check and try again.</p>';[/php]

Which means the error is present in either of these two lines. in /extensions/cart_module/controller/Cart_module.php

I am further looking into it. I'll update my findings here.

Got the problem. The menu item had a round bracket "()" Which was not letting the item to be added as a ajax request. Removing the round bracket removed the error, surprisingly while adding the item it was not displaying any error.

@sampiyogi- maybe the above can be rectified.

But it was good to find the "System -> Error Log" in the Admin panel. I saw the error there and was able to solve it.

I am still getting the error "Error occurred, please check and try again" as above. Nothing is in the cart then.

I installed the latest version and I checked the file: system/tastyigniter/libraries/TI_Cart.php This is the same as you posted on Github.

Any idea what is wrong?

The error is from the file extensions\cart_module\views\cart_module.php. json['redirect'] is the problem I think.
