However, if a customer spends 15 minutes choosing items only to be told at checkout that we do not deliver to their area I don't think they would be pleased. The postcode search box should be there so they can check before ordering.
As for the charges under the info tab these don't show, I think they only show on the menus page if you are asked to enter your postcode. I have two delivery areas set up in admin, both with charges for delivery and minimum order amounts and neither are showing on the menus page. This is what is showing:
Service Offered: Delivery and pick-up
Free Delivery
Min. Order Amount: £0.00
Only at the checkout stage do the charges show on the menus page and in the cart.
Service Offered: Delivery and pick-up
Delivery Cost: £7.00
Min. Order Amount: £7.00
Shopping carts are all about customer experience and I really do think that the search box should be there so customers can check if the restaurant delivers, and if so, what the charges and minimum values are before ordering.
