Unfortunately I can't use the newer versions of TI because of my hosting provider limitations and being under contract.
My issue is that the redirect() function isn't working. Url's become appended with ?redirect=thenewurltarget
It doesn't actually redirect though. I thought it was just my admin section because I could still browse my menu and stuff on the front-end but now I'm noticing I can't login there either but on the front-end it doesn't even append the url with the ?redirect= field
i tried registering a new account and it just tells me i fail to verify the captcha letters every time. i did it 10 times to be sure i don't have the world's worst eyeballs.
I found a few other threads in the forum asking for help with this but no solution was ever posted. One person said they did a reinstall over the directories and it fixed it but my worry is that it would likely return again at a later time since it's not resolving the root issue. I don't understand how everything has worked for 4+ months but all of a sudden it stopped working. I checked and there have been no file edits since january 8th.... i can't imagine how a database field changing could've caused this but it could be because i don't know the TI files in-depth.
