Upgrading to latest version

I have tried multiple times to upgrade to the latest version/beta and have had limited success. The last attempt did allow the site to function, however, the upgrade of the database did not work or do anything. I will add the steps to this discussion so that it might be easier to track which one worked and which one did not.

roydeanjr One issue I've noticed with upgrading is that the config files ended up having no contents in them. If that's the case, download the latest release from github and replace the root config directory.

sampoyigi Sam, ran setup again......database was detected and seemed to upgrade.

Now the links do not seem to work right:
View menu suggests (preview at the bottom of browser) it will go to one of my location menus for a location that is not enabled (location_status = 0), but instead the system fails with a timeout error. Not sure why it is going to that location's menu except that the location is the first location in my location table.
Administator suggests it will go to the admin directory, but it goes to setup instead.
The pages I created for About us, Return & Refund Policy and Privacy Policy do not display the pages

I am trying to get up to speed with laravel so I can help address some of these seemingly minor issues, but it is proving a bit challenging.
