lazerlyte Hope everyone is having a good day 🙂 I’ve been looking at the components to add to my homepage and I’m unable to find one that just includes plain text for me to add my own information. If anyone could help me that would be great.
mlattke lazerlyte Admin -> Design -> Themes -> YourTheme -> Edit Theme There you can edit all the pages
kiwiboy I’ve got he same question. Do you write a component or do you directly input it in the markup box? Ideally would like to have a component that can be modified and added to any page but can’t see where to add a component?
mlattke kiwiboy Choose the page where you want to add the component and then click on the “+” then you have to render the component in the page by adding <?= component('componentAlias'); ?>
lazerlyte Apologies, I’m still not able to add HTML text. I’ve familiarised myself with adding components but I don’t know which component can show plain HTML text?
mlattke lazerlyte So basically what you’re looking for is to edit the HTML/CSS of an specific page. If so you can edit the files in yourtheme folder. That’s what I do. You can go to _pages/home and add HTML code after the second “- - - ”
lazerlyte Thank you! That is exactly what I wanted for the website. I’m just wondering, do I still need to declare the doctype and have <html> tags?
mlattke lazerlyte you’re welcome. You don’t need to. Those are already declare in head and header partials
