Great cms

Dear friends,
I was looking for a simple cms for restaurants for a long time and I must say that the first impression is great. But I have been testing tastyigniter now for a couple of days and I must says it seems rather buggy. I did several installs, with and without demo data, single and multi locations. The only way I found out to show the menu in header is if I choose multi-setup including demo data, otherwise the menu in header is not showing and is also not editable. When I add a new category I cannot find a way to show in in the menu. An other example is when I try to add or delete an extension I get some kind of fatal error and my whole site is gone and I get an error page. From there I cannot find any way back except a fresh install.

some other issues:

Even I choose not to install demo data, there is still demo data in my site.
There are 2 different ways to add a logo (via admin/locations/settings or via admin/themes/edit), the first don’t work
even if I choose single restaurant and dont want delivery, in the cart it still shows delivery

But I found many more things that will prevent me from using this very promising cms. And that’s a shame, because I love the look and feel and the simple admin. I am a very poor coder but I am working for several restaurants in real life doing their It. So I would be glad to work with you guys in any way you need to improve this cms.

Nav bar menu
Admin -> Design -> Static Pages -> Static Menus -> Main Menu (Click the pencil to edit)

After that you will be able to see the navbar menu.

Categories and Items: Sam is already working on a solution. In the meantime try this

Admin -> System -> Settings -> General -> Restaurant -> Location Mode

Change from single to multiple. Log off and Log on. Then you will be able to see the demo categories and items.

Delivery
Which version are you using? I’m using v3.0.4-beta.20.1 and works perfectly

Admin -> Restaurant -> Settings -> Settings(tab) -> Offer Pick-up -> Disable -> Save

Logo

Admin -> Design -> Themes -> YourTheme -> Customize -> Logo Image

That adds the logo image to the navbar

Extensions

That’s based on the theme you’re using. Orange Theme requires:

Cart
Frontend
Local
Pages
Payregister
Reservation
User

So it’s logic that it shows an error because one of the required extensions is missing.

Let me know if I’m missing something.
