I’ve installed TastyIgniter before on this server. But that instance just stopped working correctly (loads of errors), so chose to start over. I created a different MySQL database. The setup passes all the pre-req checks, I enter the info on the “Database Settings” page, then click the “Administration” button (which should probably just say “Next”). The little progress bar on the top right corner flashes for a second, but that’s it. Nothing happens. There’s nothing in the apache error log and I can’t find any other error logs.
BTW, I can’t do the composer install on this system because it fails with a series of “Uncaught ErrorException: proc_open(): fork failed - Cannot allocate memory” errors.
jeromio Check PHP timeout settings.
@jeromio the composer error means you don’t have enough memory on your system. See:
OK, well it seems that 11 times was the trick because it finally, magically, completed the install. Strange and not all that satisfying.
I realize that the error was related to a lack of RAM. This VM has 4G, 1.7 available - which seems like it should be enough to run an installation script?
Composer pulls in a lot of dependencies so it is pretty memory heavy - the link I sent gives a way of adding to your swap memory which is what I use when I come across this error on a VM
