Hi, After updating to the latest version I cannot place any order anymore. I am running a copy of our live website which I updated to test the new version. We are only accepting take-away orders so no delivery is possible. The restaurant appears to be closed all day except when I enable deliveries. The opening hours information in the top corner uses the timeslots information from the delivery table. The button on the right remains on status “closed” except for when I enable delivery. anthonyvdberghe With the full cart not showing, you probably need to update your child theme partials (there’s been changes to the cartbox and localbox partials) that should also fix the timeslots as well.

Exactly which version are you testing? With 22.2 you should be able to order during the open hours. I have seen the pre-order toggle does not allow ordering outside of open hours. You can test by changing the opening time to before the current time then verify whether you can place an order or not.

roydeanjr Thank you for your reply. I’m running 22.2. I did test this so opening hours are well within the testing time. As mentioned before I can only order when “Delivery” option is enabled, the button “CLOSED” remains on the right even though pre-order is enabled. I can only change this by enabling deliveries. The opening hours on top, below “We are open” are copied from the delivery hours, not from the regular opening hours or pick-up hours. I don’t know if this is related but it seems that the whole timing script stays dependent from Delivery and not from Pick-up when disabling delivery.

@anthonyvdberghe Can you try this and let me know if it works for you. Disable “Offer Delivery” Enable “Allow Pre-Order for Delivery”. You can set the “Delivery Pre-Order Days in Advance” value to 0. Enable “Offer Pick-Up” If this works, I believe you may have identified a bug.

pjscuisine Thank you for your help, however still not working. I have tried playing around with the pre-order buttons as well for pick-up but nothing seems to do the trick. Screenshots from my settings below:

Also well aware that the settings say monday is closed (which is the case) but with status open it also doesn’t work.

@anthonyvdberghe Interesting … Is your restaurant set for delivery or pick-up by default? One way to test this is on your cart hit the “Pick-up” button and see if the “Closed” changes to “Checkout”.

pjscuisine No cart visible, When trying to add something to the cart I get this message: “This restaurant is unavailable to take delivery orders at the selected time.” The only thing I see in the upper right corner is the “Closed” button which is not clickable. Seems to me that despite the “Offer Delivery” button switched off, something still depends on it. Probably a bug in the code? If so I’m happy to make an Issue on Github.

sampoyigi Thank you for the reply Sam. Updated all partials/pages/layouts, had to readjust some options from partials and activate/deactivate deliveries to get it working. (in case anyone is trying the same thing). Pre-order toggles working as well!

sampoyigi Quick question: Why is this required? 1-Orange theme is not writable, you have to make a copy. 2-why is this step necessary in the first place and 3-what exactly needs to be “updated” and how is “updating” done? I have tried several different actions and the one that seems to be consistent is that when Delivery AND Pick-up are toggled on, you can toggle Pick-up before the store is open and actually place an item in your cart. If Delivery Pre-Order is off you cannot toggle Pick-up on the menu list page. So, with that in mind, what is the exact solution. I really do not like shooting in the dark and trying all kinds of actions to try and get something to work. It was not like that before, why is it “acceptable” for the app to be like that now?

roydeanjr Could be that data gets corrupted or missing when migrating from 2.1.1. Using the Setup Wizard with your v2 database will handle all the migration needed for the upgrade from v2 to v3. Maybe try to save the location page again just to make sure the columns have the right values.

Here is an interesting option: I Enable Allow Pre-Order for Delivery, Offer Pick-Up and Allow Pre-order for Pick-up. Now I am able to add items to my cart for pick up later, after we open. In other words, Offer Delivery is Disabled, all other meal options are enabled. Seems to work on the front end like I want it to! Default Orange Theme works as well.

Still don’t understand what the issue is 😅

sampoyigi The issue is when the location is Pick-up only. Delivery is not available. Thus the options on that location for delivery are not enabled. In this case, the pre-order capability for Pick-up do not actually allow the customer to order before the opening time.

If you enable Allow Pre-order for Delivery for that location then you can place a Pick-up order before the opening time. However, you do have to click the Pick-up button to actually place an item in the cart. Otherwise you get a message “The restaurant cannot take delivery orders at this time.” that pops up when you attempt adding an item to your cart.

What is the exact steps the execute an upgrade? I have tried several times and it does not ever work properly. I will try again though because it has been a while.

I finally got an upgrade to work. Not sure what steps exactly, but I do have one working.

That said, the toggle for allow pre-order does not function properly. Only after enabling Allow Pre-Orders for Delivery did the app allow me to place an order.

I had the same issue and the cause is that “Delivery” is probably still your default order type in your Theme templates.

Therefore you should edit the “Local Box Component” under the Pages: “Cart”, “Checkout” and under Layouts: “Local Layout”.

anthonyvdberghe I was so hopeful, however, that setting alone did not resolve the issue. I still need the Allow Pre-Order for Delivery enabled in order to place an item in my Cart.

roydeanjr Had a look again and pick-up only setting seems to work fine when pre-order for delivery is disabled/enabled. The only issue was with having to click the pickup button, which I resolved using anthonyvdberghe answer

Planning an update for Tuesday 🤞 Just to be sure the issue is fixed can you grab a fresh copy of the local and cart extensions from github?

I applied all those “fixes” and I still cannot place an item in the cart unless Pre-order for Deliveries is enabled. When is the next update going to be made available?

On an install of master (released 22.2) I grabbed those extensions and got a new error: Call to undefined relationship [allergens] on model [Admin\Models\Menus_model].

On an install of dev-master the extensions execute, however, a different outcome! I enable only the pick-up options for the location with opening times only Wed, Thu and Sat and those times set for Opening Hours and Pick-Up Hours with all Delivery Hours set to Closed. With these settings I cannot even click Pick-up button (have not done what @anthonyvdberghe suggested yet). When I attempt to click Pick-up, I get the message “This restaurant is unavailable to take pick-up orders at the selected time.”. The pull-down for scheduling the pick-up under ASAP is empty; no times or dates showing so I cannot even select a time that matches the opening hours.

After applying @anthonyvdberghe’s settings changes I do get the ASAP/Schedule Order dialog to have dates and times available for me to pick a Pick-up time, however, I am still not able to place an item in the cart.

Are there some core changes that need to be installed in order for this to work?

sampoyigi I installed again into my “dev/test site” where I had a 2.1.1 database and no files in the root except asset, setup and the files required to run setup.php.

1 - first attempt was with the option of no extensions and no themes. The setup failed with a “status:for” error so basically the install failed.
2 - second attempt was with the selection of the Orange theme and all extensions. I did disable/stop all the extensions before continuing. This installation with the existing 2.1.1 database was successful and the version in Updates shows 22.4. However the Pick-up Pre order “fixes” do still not work. I still have to enable Allow for Delivery Pre-Orders.

Also, after several attempts to complete the site settings with a child copy of the Orange theme, I get continued errors about the media paths when I attach the logo to the theme either in the child or in the original Orange theme. The error is League\Glide\Filesystem\FileNotFoundException: Could not find the image home/myuserid/public_html/assets/media/uploads/RDQLogoOnWood1023x507.png.

Another note is that the installation generated a number of DEBUG errors when trying to convert the media file paths. Igniter\Flame\Exception\SystemException: Cannot convert Media Library path “/data/memorialwest.png” to a path relative to the Library root.

I am seeing the update available. I attempt Update and the following INFO shows in the log file:
