Change opening times to 24 hour format

Hi, I’m trying to change the format from 04:30pm to 16:30. Tried changing in Local Box Component as it gives options to change opening time format, so input HH:mm but that doesn’t work? Any ideas? Thanks.

/admin/settings/edit/general change timeformat to how you like it.

Hmm, I’ve tried all three time formats but still results in 04:30pm in the opening hours part (ie, just above the menu lists)

Yup , cleared cache. Same issue.

So far found in database ti_settings: time_format which is updated when you change time format in /admin/settings/edit/general change timeformat. When looking into file: /themes/tastyigniter-orange/assets/src/scss/components/_cartbox.scss the relevant code reads:

Not sure how $localBoxTimeFormat calls from database ti_settings field time_format and think problem lies there, although why it would default to h:i a for that I do not understand. The 24hr format you want is H:i

Thanks for looking into this. Its a nice to have as 04:30pm should be 4:30pm or 16:30. Give me a shout if you find the answer. Cheers.

kiwiboy I know that g:i a will remove the preceding 0 same for 24hr clock G:i However even when putting a local variable to test in _partials/LocalBox/Box_two [LocalBox/Box_two] I can not make it to work, so hope someone else can. I do not have an issue with how it is now, but understand that one would expect it to change when changing the setting in Admin.

@kiwiboy there is a setting on the component for the time format. If you edit the theme in the admin panel, find the page, then click on the local box component you should be able to amend the time format there.

ryanmitchell Tried in box one did not do anything. Refreshed browser cache, etc

Did not manage, but was not critical for me, a good to have and should be easier to accomplish. Already changed enough in the code to make me fear any further upgrades and just stuck with the version I used in July and somehow manage to do what is essential. Also never managed to get the popups, alerts to work either. Most of our customers decide to phone in when needing take-away or delivery as they do not trust the sytem to work for them and in any case would call us. Also for delivery we would have to all them because we did not manage to get the payment gateway working and our business can not afford the services that were kindly offered. I donated a small token but did not even get an ackowledgement for that so stopped it and will just occasionally visit this site in the hope that it will become better. Wish you luck.

roberto01 we are all voluntarily working on the project. Please bear in mind the current version is beta therefore changes are frequent and often breaking.

the instructions on this thread are for how to changes the dates on components which was the approach up to the last beta - at which point it changed to the Lang strings I directed you to earlier. You can try this approach too.

roberto01 there is a setting on the component for the time format. If you edit the theme in the admin panel, find the page, then click on the local box component you should be able to amend the time format there.

I realize but it has been in beta ever since I started using it. I have not kept updating since July as faced too many issues. I was first very engaged but some of the key essentials be it easy to implement payment Gateway, or like here changing dates, or even theme designs is rather complicated and would require expertise that will render it eventually too costly. There is a lot I like and that has been accomplished and as before compliment all that work feverishly to make things work. However, I dislike that there are some essentials that only get attention when negotiating payments. I understand that life never is for free but prefer some transparency. As mentioned I get it to list the menu and have people make orders, but we keep depending on phone for payment and orders as well. Is just the way it is, no offence.

eko unfortunately not all payment providers can be supported out of the box - every one added requires code maintenance which is very time costly. Sorry that yours isn’t there. Was it not an option to use stripe or one of the ones we do support?
