Delivery Charges based on destance

Hi,
I have to set delivery charge based on distance.
i want to set condition to charge for each kilometer, to calculate distance between Restaurant and customer i am going to use google map location and distance matrix API.
How can i approach this!? any clue?

There is no charge per KM in the system.
you could draw 1km delivery circles but it would need up being time consuming to set up.

Yeah,
I think need to amend default system.
When the user enter their location, the system should calculate the distance, and should add delivery amount to cart.

I wanted to work on it. because for delivery we depend on third party vendor, they will charge delivery per kilometer.
