Have you tried using Custom banner type?

I am testing 2.1.0-rc.1

I am looking at the banners and wondered if a text box could be added to the extension. The reason for this is when you add an image this is almost impossible to see when looking at the site via a mobile.

Something like: Image - Carousel - Custom - Text

It would be a benefit if you could place a sentence around the site informing people of special offers etc.

I did try the custom banner option and nothing shows. I wasn't sure if this was for text or an image src so I tried both.

If you enable the custom banner it does show in the source code but the text doesn't.
