Mysql v 5.6

I have a previously installed version my tastyigniter that works fine on mysql5.6
Now that I have another website and I want to install tastyigniter to the same hosting plan on my new site at hostgator, I am getting an error that min requirements of mysql is 5.7.
Problem is upgrading is costly on me, is there a way to use previous versions on tastyigniter so that I don’t need to upgrade my plan?

Yea you could install through composer and target one of the older versions eg 3.0.4 that doesn’t require MySQL 5.7

If you have access to your cPanel you should be able to choose which php version you require.

No I dont have access as on shared hosting and no cpanel with package, I will move to vps
