Introduction and technical questions

I hope you guys are doing great!

My name is Sergio and I just installed TastyIgniter (thanks to their support team - thank you very much, guys!). I’m from Malaga, Spain but I’m located in Montreal, Canada. And finally, this is our web (where I have TastyIgniter installed): https://etnamtl.ca/service/

My wife and I run the restaurant… I’m not a developer but good at following instructions. I started to configure TastyIgniter and I have a bunch of questions for you guys. I hope you can help me out. Here I go!

DESIGN/THEMES

1.1 Which theme must I select as default (activated), Orange Theme or Orange Theme [child], for all changes/modifications to work properly?
1.2 How can I remove the option to login/register for costumers? Including the option that says “Already have an account? Login Here” in the reservation page. I’m not interested on this feature (at least for now).
1.3 How to change the displayed time to 24h on all pages?
1.4 In the footer, how can I remove TASTYIGNITER (above view menus, reservation, etc) and change it to ETNA. I don’t mind leaving Powered by TastyIgniter (you guys deserve credit for the great work you all do)

RESERVATIONS

2.1 Is it possible to make more obvious (visually speaking) when we’re closed on the “reserve a table” calendar? Maybe by making the opening days bolder? I’d like to make it “dummy costumer” proof… We deal with so many unfortunately!
2.2 How can I have Mondays as the first day of the week?
2.3 We open from 4 pm until 11 pm. How can I change table availability from 4 pm to 9 pm? Right it starts at 6:30 pm until 9:45 pm. I don’t know why… Our opening schedule is currently setup Wed to Sun from 16:00 to 23:00.

Hi Sergio, welcome to the TastyIgniter community 🙂

The Orange Theme [child] should be your default and where all your modifications go
You can disable customer registration from System > Settings > Users. To remove the login/registration links from the footer and header, go to Design > Static Pages > Menus
From the Localisation > Languages > English page, search lang.moment under Filter translation and you’ll get a list of all the date time formats used on your website. Replace all occurrence of hh:mm a to HH:mm.
You can delete the TastyIgniter menu item from Design > Static Pages > Menus > Footer menu
Although your customers are able to choose any date from the calander, the system doesn’t let them complete a booking for a closed date, an error is displayed letting them know to choose a different date.
Not currently possible but will be added in the next update
What do you have set as your Reservation Stay Time?

This is supposed to be the maximum time costumers can be at the table, right?

I just wanted to follow up on this matter…

I did figure out everything except for the Reservation Stay Time… These are my schedules (we don’t offer delivery):

Also, I was able to change the time format to 24h but, as you can see in the reservation form, the “pm” is still there. Would it be possible to remove it?

Yes, there are plans to provide a feature that allows you to choose the first day of the week.

It appears that the reservation time is added to the timeslot to allow the restaurant time to prepare their table before serving customers; however, after further consideration, perhaps we should make it an option so that the restaurant can choose whether the timeslot should begin with the open time or the open time + stay time. To get around this for the time being, set your opening hours to 13:30 - 23:00.

Make sure system::lang.moment.time format is set to HH:mm.

Unfortunately, to be able to only show table availability from 16:00 to 21:00 (kitchen closes at this time), I have to setup my opening hours from 13:30 to 21:15, as seen when under business information. Is there any other way to change this? I think this is confusing for costumers… unless I hide the opening hours.
