Clone to translate mail template

Following the information given on the forums, I am trying to create a new mail template in Spanish. So I clicked on “New” on the mail template and copied the English version I want to translate.

What am I supposed to enter in “code”? I inserted the same as the original:
igniterlabs.multivendor::_mail.registration_alert
and it’s giving the error: “The Code may not be greater than 32 characters.” I don’t find where these files are located on the system (ftp), so I can’t go there a create it manually.

ideasgirl Cloning mail templates is pointless; modifying existing mail templates from the admin should suffice because, unlike theme templates, they are saved in the database. extensions/igniterlabs/multivendor/views/_mail/registration_alert.blade.php has the original template content.

I guess that the “default” template is not the template itself it’s the “default layout”? Is that what it is? Why could we do new mail templates if it’s not worth it? I was just taking precautions to not mess up the original while doing it in Spanish to test the system.

ideasgirl I’d be mindful of old forum posts (anything before 2017) because the vast majority of them refer to a version that is no longer supported. Making a clone of the default layouts is a good idea, but for mail templates, it’s pointless because you can easily delete a registered mail template and it will be recreated with its original content.

Where can I fix this?

The vendors email is coming back without layout issues.

For anyone having same issues…
Eliminate the spaces on the template that come before the @ symbol (beginning of the lines), and everything will display properly.
