Looking at this post https://forum.tastyigniter.com/d/1595-review-error/8 seems that the issue was fixed on the component level, but if you are using Orange theme or a child of Orange, you will have a CSS issue with the stars not appearing properly on some pages. For example, when an order is completed and the customer is allowed to leave a review, the stars for Quality, Delivery, and Service do not appear to be selected, causing that the user can’t leave a review because the system says, that these fields are required (but user can’t select none of them). No ratings If you switch to Red theme, then the stars will appear, and you can leave the review (that’s why I say that it’s a theme issue). with Red Theme Leaving the review Then after the review is left, and you go back to your default theme, the stars will show just fine on the locations page, but when you go to the local page, the last star is not showing properly. Locations page Local page The local page stars look wrong also with Red Theme. Where is the problem? Is it on the CSS or somewhere else?

ideasgirl I also have this issue and am hoping someone has the answer. It looks like the stars are supplied by font awesome. Don’t you need to provide an api key for this? Perhaps it’s not required now but I don’t see anyplace to put this anyway. Looking at the span class here there’s a missing fa (or far if the star is unchecked) but I wouldn’t know if this is something I should be looking to change without some information. If it’s static code then it should be easy. I haven’t looked at why there’s an issue on this theme for leaving reviews (star related again) but I will try to discover this for myself.

ideasgirl Don’t know if this will work for you or even if this is the correct solution to this problem but you could edit extensions/igniter/local/formwidgets/starrating/assets/js/starrating.js and change the line which says starOff: 'fa fa-star-o', to starOff: 'fa-regular fa-star', This shows an outline of a star instead of an off star.

There was a icon fix on Discord. That fist helpt for the stars aswell

There could be 4 days and there’s no answer to a question, but as soon as I state the fact that I’m being ignored, then I’m called rude. We are trying to work with the software you guys are putting out there. If you don’t have testers, developers, and users, the software will be useless. Not because I’m not a monthly $$$ contributor, means I’m not a contributor or never will be. There might be many issues of other users that are being attended but it seems you have an issue with my questions. A simple “we are looking into it”, “we don’t know”, “look here to see if you can do this or that”, could be sufficient ; but instead, there are crickets. You seem to throw around the word “rude” just because you don’t like negative comments that are just truthful comments. I wasn’t offensive, nor disrespectful. If that community are ONLY users there won’t be any “support” (besides supporting each other’s frustrations) because the users/testers/business consultants/restaurant owners don’t have the answers. We can only share that we are having the same issue and has not been addressed. In some cases there’s lack of documentation and somewhat incomplete in others, so we can’t even go there; we depend on the developers that know the code to guide us in the right direction and I’m not seeing this right now. I always search the forums for answers and usually my questions are the same that others had posted and they were not answered. In my case I have there a very long code of fontawesome and I’m not sure where I should add the code, if I have to change anything of the code or make it part of the line of fontawesome that’s there. I tried few different ways and it shows the same or it takes all the stars away and only shows the number of reviews.

@ideasgirl i couldn’t disagree with you more. This is open source software and you are treating it like paid for software. You are coming across as rude, impatient and demanding whether you see that or not. We all volunteer on this project, nobody is paid to work on it as this job and the money made from extensions is minimal. You act like there is a team working on the project full time and I can assure you that Is not the case. We do our best to answer questions and fix bugs but we all have day jobs that place other demands on us. Please reset you expectations. If you are unhappy, please stop using the software and find an alternative.

The only error recorded there was one I had with the Google API (in relation with the review bug that I posted on another thread, and it was solved with the update).

So the logs do not have any errors related to the update.

@ideasgirl so is the site not working at all? In your .env file can you set debug to true? That should show any errors on screen.

[deleted] No, it was a blank page. I also tried in a private screen. I do believe that if you put the link /locations directly it will show the directory. Yes, I set debug as true and don’t change it.

Don’t worry, I did the restore and it’s working now. If I have the time I might investigate to give a better report.
