Display Category List at top of menu along with Login & Register menu

Hello Sam, I want to implement the list of categories on top of menu as along with Login & Register is this possible and then to display different category data on that page. How can I do this. I am trying to implement it from back-end by adjusting categories extension module and local module. Please help if you have any solution.
