latest version and coding update question

You can create a child them (wordpress-style). Copy files from the default theme to your new child theme keeping the folder structure. This way you keep changes made to the child theme when you update.

In your case. From Admin -> Design -> Theme and click (copy theme button). Copy header.php file from the default theme (tastyigniter-orange) to the child theme

If you change thie code manually, it will be overwritten again by the next update.

I am slowly learning tastyigniter, I have a quick couple of questions though

1) I have added coding into the header.php file, if need to update tastyigniter any time if a new version is released, does it overwrite the coding I have added into any php files

2) Is there any new releases out as I am using version 2.1.1

Oh right is there another way to add menu links to the nav menu next to Login and Register without having to alter the header.php file?
