TastyIgniter 2.0.0 pre-release testing

Update on v2.0.0. Yes we are just about ready to release 2.0.0 and deliver its amazing features to you :) However, we are making sure every known bugs or issues has been fixed before releasing 2.0.0, this way you can spend more time managing your restaurant than fixing bugs.

Therefore, v2.0.0 will be released 6th March.

@Dejosel, thank you too. We've had to move the release date forward again because we are still receiving bug reports. However, we are patching things up to release sometime this week.

We are working hard to get TastyIgniter "Jollof Rice" to you as soon as possible :)

I downloaded the master a few months ago and have changed it slightly. My version says 1.5 - would you suggest upgrading to v2 ? What new features would it include ?

Hello Everyone, We have recently released a new release candidate (pre-release) on Github for the upcoming TastyIgniter 2.0.0. Since this is a pre release, it is only suitable for development and testing and not suitable for live stores. Access Master branch at: https://github.com/tastyigniter/TastyIgniter/tree/master We are currently using the master branch for development but this is going to change after the release of v2 to follow the Git-Flow branching model. We'll be updating the Change Log with what has been changed / fixed so that you can easily see what changes have been made so far. A lot of work have been done here, but we still need to do some more to get this version ready for the February release date. It would be great if you guys could take a look at this pre-release and help us in finding any outstanding issues or bugs. You can use the Issue Tracker on Github, to update any fixed problems or report. It would be awesome if you guys could recommend TI to some of your colleagues and other coders, so the TI community can grow, with input from a diverse range of people. Also please subscribe to the upcoming and exciting E-newsletter to keep updated with TastyIgniter news.

With regard to your question, since 2.0 is not officially released for live stores, and strictly for development, we do not suggest upgrading as yet. However, if you still want to try, you should back-up your site first as you may lose all changes which have already been made. Also, what would help in your situation is to read the changelog here; https://github.com/tastyigniter/TastyIgniter/blob/master/CHANGELOG.md

This is not comprehensive, but will give you an idea of what has been changed.
