The Payment Method field is required.

My bad, I somehow missed this thread on my task list.

The issue could be related to the PayPal API, I'll have a look and post the fix here once I have one.

Check to make sure you have enabled PayPal as a Payment Method under Locations in the Admin Panel.

Appreciate the follow up, I'm stumped if its on Paypal side or TI.

The account I'm doing with paypal is a business account, and i setup the API option that steps through, - Get Api - Select, [font=HelveticaNeue-Light,]NVP/SOAP API integration, [/font] [font=HelveticaNeue-Light,]- Then PP generates the 3 fields to enter into the TI cart. [/font]

[font=HelveticaNeue-Light,]Now, under that in Paypal has, Enable Express Payments, Use this feature to automatically accept payments ... before setting up API. and it ends with (you can set this up later). [/font]

Hi Tasty Folks,

I've been struggling trying to get paypal to work. During check out, I receive the message,"The Payment Method field is required." There is no paypal field in the checkout form.

Looking at the error logs, i see a couple different ones though nothing specific to the paypal field and checkout,

Thank you for the response. Ok, excellent its now showing as a payment option, though it doesn't move past the 2nd checkout step. I keep clicking Confirm.. and the page doesn't advance. see orderjms.com You'll have to click on locations at bottom then add a sandwich..

I have this issue as well and debugging it a bit it seems like I found the culprit. If you have tax/vat set, then it seems that the total float number is sent using more than 2 decimal places which causes that error message.

I fixed it by rounding total to 2 decimal places: //tastyigniter\extensions\paypal_express\models\Paypal_model.php //Line 71

[php]if ($this->cart->order_total() > 0) { $nvp_data .= '&PAYMENTREQUEST_0_AMT='. urlencode(round($this->cart->order_total(), 2, PHP_ROUND_HALF_UP)); } [/php]

But then there's another error that appeared after that fix:

ERROR - 2017-04-23 21:56:13 --> PayPalExpress::setExpressCheckout Error -->20002: 10413: The totals of the cart item amounts do not match order amounts.

And to fix that I added this code right after the above line

Oh thanks. In that case I also added this code inside doExpressCheckout() otherwise it'd bomb out on the next step
