Invisible Order, Cannot Find Order 20390

sampoyigi , there might be a webhook we can use on PayPal (https://developer.paypal.com/docs/integration/direct/webhooks/) that would allow to send our server a confirmation that the payment for an order has been done, and it changes the status to "received" after it. You would still keep the current code because double confirmation wouldn't hurt it.

I have only had this problem once and it was yesterday.

The customer placed an order through PayPal. And I received the PayPal payment notification through my email. So far so good.

I never received the admin email letting me know that an order went through. And in the dashboard, the order never showed up after refresh.

I know the payment went through since it shows up in the PayPal account. But if I search for the customer's name or the exact order number, it pops up in the orders dashboard. I noticed that the order's status is blank as well.

Looking at the database, the row has status_id=0, and notify=0.

If anyone knows what's going on it would be helpful.

Sam, if I understand correctly, all orders are in limbo after the order is placed (with no status) and then if it comes back to the checkout page, that's when the status gets set? I looked at the Lost orders and I was expecting to see this order, but instead I saw two pages worth of orders.

zeta It definitely won't hurt and would act as a failsafe. I'll accept a PR to the PayRegister repo to add the feature.
