[Solved] error 500

#1 gerlandog Offline Newbie
I am having trouble trying to figure out the .htaccess file

# 1.To use URL Alias you need to be running apache with mod_rewrite enabled.

Options +FollowSymlinks

# Prevent Directoy listing

Options -Indexes

<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>

# Turn on URL rewriting

RewriteEngine On

# !IMPORTANT! Set your RewriteBase here and don't forget trailing and leading slashes.

# If your page resides at http://www.example.com/mypage then use

# RewriteBase /mypage

RewriteBase /
Pedidos
RewriteRule ^assets/downloads/(.*) not_found [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d

RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?/$1 [L]

</IfModule>

http://www.pecasuapizza.com/Pedidos

is allways giving me error 500...

please help!!!

Thanks!!!

If you remove Options +FollowSymlinks, it should work.

Add the clean code into the following folder..
Get used linux paths always lower-case  "/pedido"

Root Folder

Code:
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
   RewriteEngine On
   RewriteBase /Pedido    // Edit your Root Folder
   RewriteRule ^assets/downloads/(.*) not_found [L]
   RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
   RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
   RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?/$1 [L]
</IfModule>

Admin Folder

Code:
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
   RewriteEngine On
   RewriteBase /Pedido/admin // Edit your Admin Folder
   RewriteRule ^assets/downloads/(.*) not_found [L]
   RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
   RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
   RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?/$1 [L]
</IfModule>

Setup Folder

Code:
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
   RewriteEngine On
   RewriteBase /Pedido/setup
   RewriteRule ^assets/downloads/(.*) not_found [L]
   RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
   RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
   RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?/$1 [L]
</IfModule>

I'm having same 500 error immediately after accepting the license agreement, the installation crashes at http://www.example/setup/requirements.
Anyone to help please!!!

@Levis 500 means server error, so it could be an issue with file permissions, make sure all files and folders has the correct write permissions and also check your error log for error.

PS. You should create a new thread instead of bumping an old solved thread.

The installation guide does not contain instructions on the rights to files and directories. We can learn about this at the stage "Requirements".

Have you checked your error log??? Information about which folder or file is possibly generating the error may be in there.

If you uploaded TI via an FTP client you should not have an issue with rights to files and directories, hence why I presume it is not in the installation guide. Just like they are not for other CMS's.
