Hey, I was wondering if anyone was able to add the admin->sales->orders auto refresh whenever a new order is detected, or if anyone knows how to do so. Also, I currently have added a sound notification to outlook when a new email is sent for the order but if anyone know a way to have the sales tab play a sound without the need to have outlook open that would be amazing.

Thanks for the reply. I am currently using that but was needing help with something that would auto load the order onto page without refreshing or initiating the refresh when it detects a new order.

g3ry Put it on top of page at /tasty/themes/tastyigniter-orange/_pages/account/orders.php but does not refresh order page. IS this the right place? If so why doesn’t it work?

You can add a refresh rate to the page “orders” so it refreshed every n minutes.

Not the above mentioned location as that seems to be for the user not the admin panel

I added this to the top of my order index page (\app\admin\views\orders\index.php) above the div class.

It auto refreshes my orders page every 30 secs and displays a countdown on the page.

I changed my index page to this code below. (\app\admin\views\orders\index.php)
Like above, but I made it smaller changed the timing a bit and within the div and on the left, looks and works great.
Just what I needed.

Currently the Order status page that is available to a customer when they place an order (link is in the email confirmation) does refresh periodically. Generally within seconds of the order status changing.

Additionally, the Customer Order Status extension includes a refresh mechanism.

Yes but this do not upgrade order status page for users (the one generated after every order) or I’m wrong? Plus order page should have auto refresh option too.

breaksecurity My experience is that the order status genereated for each order does update automagically. As I said, it takes a few seconds, but I can observe the status changing without refreshing the page.

This would be a really easy first pull request for someone (edit the index.blade.php file in app/admin/views/orders).

Generally if you want a feature, committing code is the best way to make it happen as we all have our own priorities as to what we want to add or change in the system.
