Can someone please offer some help with setting up and using Broadcast Events extension?

Pusher channels is 49 US dollars per month…impossible to use beans?

Setting up "Broadcast Events" extension

I got the app key details from pusher.com and put them into the extension and save it, but nothing happens.

First step is to install this extension
According to create a register on the site Pusher.com
Third step create an APP on Pusher.com
Step Four Fill in your applicable Pusher credentials in System> Settings> Broadcast Events settings

Yes, same doubts here, must we setup new extensions after adding broadcast to a layout?

The class or event must be in route.php?

Make sure to allow notifications on your browser. If you added everything correctly on Pusher, you should get browser notifications that say “new order has been created”.

I get the notification number updated in navbar but not getting any notification. I enabled the site to accept notifications.
I’m getting this error

Uncaught Error: PushError: title of notification must be a string

Hello Friend!
able to install an extension correctly.
All orders arrive with audio and visual notification, to install follow only the documents of the proper extension.
If you do not have audio notification, check your browser settings or Windows notification settings

I created an account on Pusher.com and put the API through the TI Control Panel

matheus I have been trying for ages to get this working but guess that I do need some real help with this. I installed the broadcast extension and also setup the pusher credentials. The on the explanation page one seems to need to register a broadcast event. Where do you do that? I would like notifications for the order takers on the POS web browser for Orders and Reservations but no clue what to do. Any help much appreciated as it would really help order takers responsiveness.

It looks like the extension installation has put the code, but why is it not triggering an event. Should I use this PHP to manually dispatch a broadcast event:There is a Event::dispatch(new BroadcastActivityCreated($activity)); If so where does that PHP code go?

So freed the notification settings on the browser as specified here, but no notifications show when people have ordered.

eko I was able to get notifications by using Pusher and Broadcast Extension. What kind of error are you having? Probably I can help you.

I do not have any error but no notifications show though I gave permissions for the site in the browser to do so. Maybe I am expecting the wrong thing from this. I had hoped the browser would show a notification whenever someone would have submitted an order to the restaurant so the order taker could go to admin->sales_>orders and attend to it. Any help and clarification appreciated.

eko Have you configured the extension on Admin -> System -> Settings -> Broadcast Events Settings with the data from pusher? If so, have you checked Pusher Dashboard? Are any messages reported into the platform?

mlattke Yes, I took all the data correctly from pusher into the requested data for the extension. Pusher nor TI give any errors. Pusher shows some mild activity took place so guess the connection is ok. I also set the Firefox browser (latest version) and Chrome (updated also) to allow to see notifications. I open admin ->sales->orders and hope to see a browser notification (also enabled sound) when an order is made. The order shows under orders but no browser notification showed. So not sure why.
