Can someone please offer some help with setting up and using Broadcast Events extension?

Make sure to allow notifications on your browser. If you added everything correctly on Pusher, you should get browser notifications that say “new order has been created”. !

I got the app key details from pusher.com and put them into the extension and save it, but nothing happens.

Setting up "Broadcast Events" extension

I do not have any error but no notifications show though I gave permissions for the site in the browser to do so. Maybe I am expecting the wrong thing from this. I had hoped the browser would show a notification whenever someone would have submitted an order to the restaurant so the order taker could go to admin->sales_>orders and attend to it. Any help and clarification appreciated.

eko Have you configured the extension on Admin -> System -> Settings -> Broadcast Events Settings with the data from pusher? If so, have you checked Pusher Dashboard? Are any messages reported into the platform?

mlattke Yes, I took all the data correctly from pusher into the requested data for the extension. Pusher nor TI give any errors. Pusher shows some mild activity took place so guess the connection is ok. I also set the Firefox browser (latest version) and Chrome (updated also) to allow to see notifications. I open admin ->sales->orders and hope to see a browser notification (also enabled sound) when an order is made. The order shows under orders but no browser notification showed. So not sure why.

Chrome and Firefox has the permissions to show notifications from your domain ? Any error in console when receiving the order?

I used vanilla install of latest beta and then installed extensions and activated them, so all is new.

after adding the pusher information and hit the save button
the admin panel showed a a spinner
i no longer can access the admin panel, i get the username and password field but cannot sign in
the site is working but cannot add any item to cart, cannot register new user, and cannot sign in
i have rebooted the server but still the same
checked the following files:
/var/logs/apache/error.log
/var/logs/apache/access.log
/var/www/html/storage/system.log
and did not see any errors

this issue is resolved bys disabling asset combiner
in config/system.php
