Order Mails not sent.

Hello,
First of all Thank You for this great Project. I am a PHP developer for my own, but havent yet worked on Laravel based Systems. So I might need some time till i am able to contribute.
On my test setup the following problem occurs: If i place an Order, no mail is sent to the customer or the location. Also no mail appears in the Debug bar. I first have to change the status of the order twice, the a mail will be sent.
The basic mail setup should work, because after this i get all mails i send to this order. Has anybody ever seen this behaviour?

Haven’t yet seen such behaviour.

darkmaterial Both versions report as 20.1.

Which versions?

darkmaterial I also had a similar issue today where an order email was not sent. Order prior and after did send as expected.

Ok so now I created a second installation from the github repo. It now sends as intended. Are there changes made? Both versions report as 20.1.

sampoyigi Im now having the exact same behaviour- update and status change emails are all sending fine, but I have all the options switched on to notify when an order is placed, and some automations too- but none of them are being triggered. I’m presuming its something ive done as Im in no way a coder but cant for the life of me figure it out- any help gratefully appreciated

I believe that’s quite the same issue as I have, however it does send the first mail with the order confirmation and details but doesn’t send the first status change. Created a gitHub issue for this:

Hi- Im having the same issue-using sendmail i get test emails sent fine but order confirmation emails or automated task emails are not being sent and are not appearing in the error log either- trying to set up smtp i get the following error: “Connection could not be established with host ssl://my.domain.co.uk :stream_socket_client(): php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known”

Hi- I’ve changed the files as Sam said to do- but still have the same problem- when an order is placed no emails are sent and automations are not triggered- I’ve checked that the status is set to notify customer and that the options are checked grey in the settings menu.
