Extensions crashes and whole website down

Hi,
sometimes, without particular reasons all extensions crashes and the whole storefront is down (error 500).
Every time it’s necessary to play each extension stopped.
This is a very big problem.
I don’t have any technical evidence of this problem but I think it’s necessary to investigate about it.
My version is 3.0.4-beta.20.1

I had the exact same issue and so have a few other including the dev.

Although I cannot start or stop any extensions after this edit I no longer have the experience you are referring to.

Edit file app/system/classes/ExtensionManager.php line 733
comment out (//) line 733 so that it looks like this…
// File::put($this->metaFile, json_encode($this->installedExtensions));

I have the default extensions activated:
Cart v2.1.5
Frontend v1.2.8
Local v1.3.3
Pay Register v1.3.2
Reservation v1.1.6
Static Pages v.1.3.3
User v1.3.5

It is a problem that I had been experiencing for some time and the only way I was able to stop it from happening was to remove the code that updates installed extensions as suggested above, this is only a temporary workaround until we can pinpoint where the issue lies but so far it has stumped most of us.

Yeah this just happened to me on one of our installs too. Re-enabled all extensions and about 5 minutes later it went down again. Any chance it could be do with a cache purge or is there something in the background checking for extension updates?
