Help- emails & Paypal

Hi guys- hope everyone is keeping healthy- I have 2 pretty major issues at the minute that i need all the help I can get on-
1- Paypal - when you select the paypal express option and then go to checkout it just comes back with ‘sorry your payment cannot be taken please try again later’ and the system log shows ‘security header is not valid’

2- emails- no matter what I do the system isnt trying to send order recieved emails- ive checked the options on ‘rest. settings’ ‘payments’ ‘statuses’ and on the order and for some reason it wont update to actually send the emails- even when I set up an automation task it doesnt send.

any help will be gratefully received as really would like to get the site live as soon as possible.

Have you test your credentials by using Paypal Sandbox Account ?

Do you have enabled the option to send emails based on the statuses? If so, you can send a test message from any mail template. Have you checked the logs for your email app? What’s the error?

Hi- thanks for the quick response:
1- it works fine with the sandbox logins- just live credentials it wont accept.
2- I have emaills enabled on the status- and despite it saying to notify customer when you check the order history it says that the customer has not been emailled and there is nothing in the log. Test emails send fine via sendmail

I’m so confused lol

OK- quick update- if I change the status of the order, and then change it back to ‘recieved’ then the email is generated- so it looks like the actions are just not being triggered when the order is made initially.

As for Paypal Ive created a new API signature and still the same problem- sandbox credentials work fine but the live ones just reload the page and create the ‘security header not valid’ response
