If you are having issues with establishing connection (I can speak for Gmail), you will need to enable IMAP in your account settings and secondly in the 2 step authentication menu of google accounts, you will need to enable connection to less secure apps. Once these are done, you should have no issue passing the field inputs for configuration.. tls/ssl ports 587/465 (please verify), smtp.gmail.com and user credentials. The test email feature should send an email to the email address registered to the admin profile.
