New order emails not working in v3.0.4-beta.22.1

Running v3.0.4-beta.22.1

Using sendmail
Test email goes through fine.

Have changed settings in Admin -> Settings -> Setup to send mail to Customer, Owner, Location (and other combinations)

Still not getting any new order emails/notifications.

Used to work before upgrade to .22

saidias Check if you have records in the jobs database table? We only has bug fixes between v3.0.4-beta.22 and v3.0.4-beta.22.1 versions.

Have same issue, tried with SMTP server same problem, test fine, but not with order or even when testing to send an email template as I thought it may be related to cronjobs. Going through the folders and files there is still a lot of “heritage” that I think has to be resolved over time as every new addition may break something somewhere, quite a feat. Lots of the work and interface is actually great but the bugs, bug me 😅

eko Bugs me out too, but we will get it right eventually 🙏 Moving forward, major updates will get a week or two for QA testing before release.

saidias Erm no leave them, since v3.0.4-beta.20 TI uses Laravel queues when sending emails and it worked well without setting up a queue worker, but seems that/something has changed in laravel v6.

Check if setting up a queue worker makes any difference. See the Installation - TastyIgniter Documentation and Running The Queue Worker - Laravel docs on how it works or set the default driver in config/queue.php to sync to execute the jobs immediately without a queue worker.

Well dangit, Im not getting the same results as you are. I too am running Running v3.0.4-beta.22.

I use latest beta version. Took while to setup but now works well. It is a big improvement over the April version so well done Sam!

saidias I know this is probably too late. But I had the same issue where the change didn’t work. I fixed it by runnning:
php artisan config:clear

How I got it to work thanks to posts by others and copied below and amended:
1-Create a sub-domain (so no interference with any .htaccess if in sub-directory)
2-Install the project using the composer command:
composer create-project tastyigniter/tastyigniter:dev-master . –prefer-dist
(I could not get the advised create-project tastyigniter/tastyigniter . –stability=beta to work properly)

Use FTP or file manager and copy from subdomain the example.htaccess to .htaccess file and
uncomment RewriteBase /
Edit subdomain/config/queue.php to
/* ‘default’ => env(‘QUEUE_CONNECTION’, ‘database’), */
‘default’ => env(‘QUEUE_CONNECTION’, ‘sync’),
7-Create a Mysql database and user
8-install the project php artisan igniter:install

I want to debug this problem without having to reinstall. How can I see error logs? I not seeing any errors in System Logs.

I suspect maybe my DB didn’t complete the migration scripts?

The locations of logfiles can be discovered from /config/logging.php
Depending on how you host TI you may also find error log there.
