Order live accept or reject

Hello everyone. Seems great to be here and just found this awesome ordering system. is there any way to make the ordering proccess with live accept/reject? Example: when customer places the order it holds it until i press accept or decline and if i press accept it gonna say lie “order accepted and will arrive in 30-45 minutes”

spantelis You can setup all your incoming orders to have the status of received. Then in Admin panel you check the orders and can change its status to accepted and notify the customer by email. The email notification includes a link to check the status of the order (same as success page) so the user will be available to know if the order has been accepted. You can setup as many status as you want and choose if notify the customer by email or not.

mlattke Hello thanks for the reply. actually i would like to have a live order accept/reject button while customer page is on hold . similar to gloria food if you have saw it. is that possible with this script and if yes how? thank you

spantelis I’ve heard about that app but never tried. So the payment will take place after this confirmation? does the customer have to keep the website open all the time waiting for the status to change? As a simple case you can set an script on the success page that checks if the status of the order has changed and update the status to accepted or rejected but if the payment took place before this should refund the payment? Unless you’re using only cash payment….to many questions.

Hello thank you again for the answer. basically the payment gonna be before. reason for decline an order is if an item is out of stock we call the client and ask them to. replace that with something similar etc. It might hear strange but here in greece multiple restaurant ordering platforms works like that. an exactly example of what i want is here:

This is going to be a problem if you’re accepting credit cards, you’ll have to delay the payment form submission until after the order is accepted, otherwise you’ll have a huge amount of refunds to process.

andrew Not so much if the payment is captured and not charged at the checkout stage and authorized later after the order is accepted.
