Please help - Final step - installation

Hi Guys! I was able to successfully install TI.

When I clicked on Login to admin dashboard :

And when I go to my server URL, it shows this :

I checked the post-installation directives and I don’t really understand the htaccess edits. Mod rewrite is a;ready enabled. Can someone helps me with the steps please? I am not very technical so I’d appreciate if you could just write down the steps. Thank you guys.

mlattke Thanks for replying. I have except for the .htaccess file configuration. I am sorry but I am not very technical. I am trying to get this working myself first before hiring a developer to install it for me. I think all I need now is to complete the Apache configuration. I would really appreciate the steps on where or how to edit the .htaccess file?

How do I change this to show the TI admin page?

pepper check the link I sent you. Also check in your root directory if you have a file named example.htaccess. if so, rename that file to . htaccess. Restart apache after.

Yes, The link you sent is what I followed and was able to successfully set up everything up until trying to access the dashboard :

What I need help on is how to edit htaccess. And just a friendly reminder that I am not very technical. I can hire a dev to get this installed but I was hoping to try to get this installed myself as I think I will be able to do this.

I also already see an .htaccess file and have restarted apache.

Installation docs says I need to uncomment RewriteBase? I actually am not sure how to do this.

pepper change the line with RewriteBase /, delete the # by doing that you’re uncommenting the line.

Actually I read wrong. I couldnt really understand what this instruction meant :

So i’ve configured .htaccess and uncommented on rewritebase, when I tried to access the admin page, it shows this

Installed it! Able to access admin dashboard but not storefront. Storefront still loads apache

pepper check apache configuration, need to edit the server path to your TI path instead

pepper Hi Pepper may I know in detail how did you solve this problem? I uncommented “# RewriteBase /” but the page still returns 404 after I refresh. What else did you do to be able to access the admin dashboard? Thank you so much!
