Make custom discount programatically?

Hi,

Is it possible to make a custom discount on the cart? I cannot find a way to do it.

I tried to add a discount by creating (without persisting) a Menus_item by using the Cart::createCartItem method but on the checkout it fails because item doesn’t exists on the DB…

I am also developer so you can be explicit 😁

scafaj on mobile so a quick answer. If you look into cart conditions - they are on the cart extension and used for tips and discounts among other things.

adding a new type for your custom discount should work.

I found that Card Condition works fine but for some reason it converts float to int (4.5 –> 5) I don’t know if the problem is about “rounding” or variable type. I’m still searching.

PS: it looks like this problem is on the whole site. Even on menus 😮

PS2: Bug found –> It looks like when the Thousand Separator is a space, it’s converted to empty and it cause this problem
