Not able to update extension new fresh install

No error the update process finishes and no updates are applied

@sampoyigi With the new release some of the extensions are not being shown as being updated after updating them on the extensions section of the admin panel. Some of the version strings weren’t updated in their respective extension.json files. I noticed it in the payregister, pages, reservations, user, and FrontEnd extensions but it may be in more.

matando Erm.. I’ve tried to simplify the process of releasing an extension update to use the latest tag from the extension repo instead of the extension.json version string. The issue is TI core still reading the version tag from the extension.json (should be using the DB version string) after the extension files have been updated. If you look in the extensions DB table you’ll see it has the updated version tag. I’m working on a new core update to fix the issue.

Ah…… ok. I just happen to do some poking around when I used the update function to update my extensions and noticed they weren’t being updated. The was what I noticed, so I stopped looking further when I saw that. Heh.

wakey18 sampoyigi I have a solution. In my case the error was due to the fact that i deleted the default slider. To solve I create a child theme and I removed component slider. Hope this will sort it out for others too

I’ve managed to fix it by deleting the default slider and creating a new one. Now working with the working slider.

It’s really hard to follow what the issue is with everything scattered and it takes time one doesn’t have to go through everything just to get the issue with no time to actually fix the issue.

Please start a new discussion, keep things organised, it should be one issue per discussion. I started reading then got confused and closed the page but came back to point out, let’s be MORE descriptive when reporting issues, we want others to be able to understand and help with your issue so sometimes pasting an error message is not enough.
