It gives your customers (when logged in) the ability to earn and spend loyalty points, giving you a whole new way to build up customer loyalty on your site. You can set how points are earned, and how points are spent - even limiting spending to certain categories or products. The extension also gives you new components to add to your side, such as a loyalty points history for the account area, the loyalty points checkout form and also a counter for how many loyalty points a user has. And on top of that it provides API end point for viewing and managing point. I wanted to say a massive thanks to @breaksecurity for his help shaping and testing this extension! Warning: this extension needs some features added in beta 27, so dont install it on a version lower than that! I’d love to hear what you all think about it.

I bought this extension but I have confused how to use it. I put @component(‘loyaltyForm’) between coupon and tip form but end up with error exception “The component [loyaltyForm] is not found.” Please give me a suggestion how to use it.

I have tried to add @component(‘loyaltyForm’) to

html\themes\tastyigniter-orange_layouts\default.blade.php
and
html\themes\tastyigniter-orange_layouts\local.blade.php

but it didn’t help me solve this issue :-(

You need to add the component to the layouts using the theme editor. There is the ability to make a component available on a layout using the plus button

Okay 👍 It works now. Anyway, what is the proper way to set the starting point for users ?
let’s say I want all sign up users have 10 points.

Points are associated with orders so there is nothing in the extension that allows you to set an intial points value.

You could try inserting into the loyalty history table for each order but without an order ID it may fail or error.

Hi Ryan,
I installed the loyalty points and it works fine on the backend and i can see it while creating order.
can the client see it inside they account as well, i added components as you shared but i can’t see it in any page when i logged in.

You can only see if when you have points to spend. The form is set to hide until that point.

I can see the amount of points to spend on the cart during placing the order, but i’m asking if it could be visible on the account settings or any page as well?
what i understood that it will be showing on the form (that is happening) but this 2:

i can’t see it as client

Yea you need to make new pages in the account area through the theme editor and add those components to them.

monna-sh2001 Also i just notice if i cancel an order where i used some of the Loyalty points it’s not returning back even if the restaurant who the one cancelled.

Hi, I’ve noticed that when customers use their points to pay for their order, we don’t deduct the points from their account and even receive additional points. For example, a customer has just placed an order for €49.80 and used 16 points at €0.50 per point, so they only have to pay €41.80. Additionally, the customer received 4 points from this order and now has a total of 20 points in their account.

I use the following settings: customers accumulate points per location, and they receive points including VAT.

diverd What version of Loyalty and what version of TI? The logic is definitely in place to deduct points, and when points are redeemed customers dont earn on that order, so something isnt right.

I’m unable to see this on a fresh install - maybe some other extension is clashing with it? Are you able to debug a little and see if you can tie it down on your side?

I think I’ve found the bug. The points are deducted from the customer’s account when they use the cash on delivery payment method. However, if the customer uses iDEAL (Mollie), the points are not deducted from their account, and they even receive additional points for the order they just placed.

Sounds like that extension isnt firing the admin.order.paymentProcessed event. Is it a custom extension?

no it’s the mollie payment that is already in TI

Ok I think I understand why. Mollie is a redirect gateway, so the order is created then when you come back to the site it’s marked as payment processed but your cart is then empty so the logic for checking the cart for points is never run.

You could try changing the extension.php to listen for igniter.checkout.afterSaveOrder instead of admin.order.paymentProcessed. That might solve it.
