Error 500 / Site down

Second time this has happened to me. The last time I had to delete the child theme and create a new one. This time I can’t even deselect the theme in order to delete it. Logs show this error.

If you have access to the command line please run php artisan cache:clear

ryanmitchell It is precisely that which causes this problem. When the partials edit you suggested didn’t work I thought I might need to clear the cache. I ran that command. The previous time it happened I was exploring the dashboard widgets and installed the cache one. Same thing happened.

I’ve rebooted the server and run it again and this time it worked. It didn’t fix the problem before I rebooted though.
If you’re using an orange child theme install the cache widget and click clear.

ryanmitchell At least it’s back up. What’s really ironic is the last time it happened I had a meeting with the owner of the business I’m assisting. Today, in 30 minutes in fact, I need to leave to meet him again! Won’t need to tell him stories to entertain him this time!

I have to leave in a couple of minutes but since this issue earlier I noticed that I can no longer customize any themes at all. I know I need to make them active first but trying to customize any theme now generates a 500 error. If you have any ideas I would really welcome them although will leave it as it is for an hour or two.

Something is off with your cache - I’ve never seen errors like that
