Stripe authorize extension help

I’ve installed the Stripe Authorize extension which says “Allow for printing of order dockets though USB (ESC/P), IP/Network Printing (ESC/P) or Epson ePOS network web service.”

How is this configured? I can’t find anywhere to enable this or any change to behaviour when an order is placed, paid by card (authorised by Stripe) and accepted by a status change.

Where does it say that? The extension doesn’t handle printing - my other extension on the marketplace is for printing. Stripe authorise is a companion extension for order approver - it’s not a standalone extension.

ryanmitchell It says that in the extension marketplace, the extension section of my admin panel and when searching for extensions. I can’t explain why you are seeing something else.

Before I uninstall, what does it do with order approver? Just in case it’s something I can use.
I don’t see any docs but I might have missed those.

If you are using order approver then this handles the decline/accept payment captures. Without it all your payments will either be uncaptured or all captured regardless of whether you accept.

It is mentioned quite clearly in the order approver documentation.

ryanmitchell I haven’t come across order approver documentation and it’s not clear to me what that is. I don’t have an extension called order approver. I’ll see if I can find that though. Since I’m quite new to this software I don’t have the familiarity to immediately recognise what developers refer to and it takes a little time.

With regards to your suggesion I join Discord. I guess I’ll need to if you’re telling me this isn’t the correct place to discuss issues. It is promoted as the place to get answers so what descides what posts go to Discord? Must I really to go to two distinct places? Three if we include github in the scenario of bug reporting.

For what it’s worth. There is a community discord which I find is better for repeat questions. You would be better joining it I feel.

Discord allows for a better back and forth in questioning which seems to be how your threads end up - the forums are fine for simple questions and answers, but once it becomes a discussion I personally dont enjoy using it.

ryanmitchell Okay. I’ll try that. I know now about Order Approver’s existence. For some reason it wasn’t showing up in my extension searches then but is now.
