How to rename admin folder

Rename the admin folder and change the ADMINDIR constant in system/tastyigniter/config/constants.php

this should work but i've never really tested it, but give it a try and report any bugs on here

tried to do it but it look like there is an error...this message was shown when try to access admin panel after renamed the admin folder and constants.php ..Your application folder path does not appear to be set correctly. Please open the following file and correct this: index.php

Hello, I tried to rename admin folder but it not working. How to rename admin folder? Also when can we have different restaurant have different categories and different menu.

If we try this nowadays, it gives the following error:
Error: Class "Admin\Classes\AdminController" not found in /home/*****/public_html/extensions/igniter/api/controllers/Tokens.php:13

Is it possible nowadays to rename the admin? This is super important so strangers don’t know where is the admin.

Due to how composer loads files you should not change the admin folder

This is a very important feature. Is there a workaround? I don’t want everyone and “their neighbor” trying to get into admin. This is very simple to do on WP, Joomla, Zen Cart, Etc. Especially when you are planning to have a marketplace where many many people are going to go to admin to enter their menus.

If it was possible before, why take away such important feature?

ideasgirl Yes, there is a configuration setting in config/system.php - adminUri. You were trying to rename class folders - you should have explained what you were wanting to achieve

ryanmitchell Sorry if I gave that impression. I posted the error given when I followed the above instructions on how to do it. I didn’t try to rename class folders, only admin folder.

ideasgirl See ryanmitchell answer. Open your config/system.php file and set adminUri to whatever you want your admin path to be.

sampoyigi Just that and nothing else? Because that’s what I did and got the error. I changed the config url and then I changed the folder name. Then got the error. I will try again and report.

ideasgirl Yea that’s the issue, you should only change the system.adminUrl config value, not the folder name.
