I’m happy to say I have just released a printer extension for TastyIgniter to the market place. https://tastyigniter.com/marketplace/item/thoughtco-printer It supports USB (ESC/POS), IP/Network Printing (ESC/POS) and printing through the Epson ePOS network web service. You can add multiple printers per location, format the docket per printer, and can limit what is printed to each device by category selection. Hey, I just paid for the extension. It still doesn’t show up on my admin panel. How does this exactly work ?

The caching issue was fixed in v3.0.4-beta.22 so the item will appear in the admin dashboard after purchase if you are using the latest version.

Thanks, the problem has been fixed, but the order total information is missing in the order receipt.

bima as in the info is blank or the variable remains in the print out? Might be easier to reach out on slack and we can debug.

@bima I’ve been able to fix the problem and have pushed v1.0.6 of the extension. This fix enforces wp1252 encoding on the printer, and replaces euro and pound symbols with their correct character string.

If you are using the print proxy program, you will need to download and update to v1.0.2 as there is a fix on it as well.

@conkam Yes if your printer is in the kitchen then you can autoprint orders directly to it as long as it is on the same network, or connected by USB to the computer logged into TastyIgniter

ryanmitchell Thanks i just have to be sure. When the customer make orders from website how does it know which IP address it should print to automatically without some is taking action like clicking on the print button?

You assign printers to locations, so when an order comes in for a location it tries to print on any printer(s) set up for that location. You specify the printer IP address in the settings.

ryanmitchell But the website is hosted by a vendor they are not in the same network. But i have a tablet with android on the restaurant is it the software on tablet that tries print or is it the database that tries to print?

@conkam If the computer and browser accessing teh system is in the same network it can make a local connection, which is what the extension does. The connection does not go through the web server.

If you enable the autoprint everywhere setting, It polls for new orders in the background by the default order status, and prints them. It works best when you enable the setting to update the order status after printing.

I have installed a star tps100 pos printer on the network. I can print test pages through windows and anroid. But i can not get print the addon to print. I think it has something with the port configuration. I do not have any port configuration on the printer. When i pust the auto print button it also says “Could not connect to printer.” both on pc chrome and android chrome. Do you have ideas of what i am doing wrong?

I’m assuming you are using USB? Are you using a version of chrome or edge that supports web usb?

“Setup printer” button click shows following error on the Chrome Dev console
