Mail templates

I’m having problems finding mail templates, where are they stored? I try in storage folder but from the main layout nothing getting changed. I’am passing a variable through models and everything but nothing is getting updated

In the Admin pages, Design / Mail Templates.

They are defined in extensions and stored in the database
