  • PayPal order alert email missing & order status problem

Hi,
I am not receiving some order emails when anyone pay using PayPal from IOS device, order status field stays blank on this kind of orders. I found similar kind of problem been solved in v2.1.1- https://forum.tastyigniter.com/d/279-paypal-orders-not-sending-email/3

    Stuart On orders with missing status, does the payment go through on PayPal's side? Order with missing status would appear in the admin panel when a user doesn't complete checkout, either they cancelled payment, payment failed or they decided not to continue. More information on why the order wasn't completed might appear under the Status History tab if the reason was payment related.

      sampoyigi Yes, payment completed also received a notification email from PayPal. But, there was no email found on admin, location or user end. A customer called, as they did not receive any order confirmation email also order was getting late. I could not find any information from Status History Tab, only showing: "No matching records found" (Not even date or anything).
      I think same problem being solved in v2.1.1 where PayPal payment emails were missing too.

        Stuart I can't seem to reproduce this error so let's hope the issue will be fixed in the next update for the PayRegister extension. I'll watch this discussion closely incase the error still exists.

          I am having this error, paid for orders are not getting an order status.
          All emails are sent out as expected, but when the customer clicks on the order status link in the email there are no orders. The customer doesn't have this order in the recent orders section and the items are still in the cart as if the payment was canceled.

          This is on Windows PC.

            I noticed from the OP's screenshot that his states "(Paid)" or "(Not Paid)" next to the payment method, this doesn't happen on mine. Not sure if this was removed or not as I'm using the latest build but thought it was worth mentioning.

            After placing the order, I am not shown the order confirmation page, but am taken to the recent orders page.

              wakey18 Right seems something went wrong with the payment. You should have some payment log under the status history tab of the order admin page to figure what went wrong with the payment.

                I've not seen any log other than the status history and this doesn't include anything to do with the payment

                  That's just changes to the payment name you can do from the admin dashboard.

                  Probably not the payment then, do you have anything related in your system log?

                      Sorry for the late reply.
                      This problem has been resolved in latest version beta 20.1. Therefore, I will suggest you to update your site or install the latest version.
