Had a good blast on the test app. It does look good. Few things could do with modifying like seems to be geared towards deliveries rather than collections. But am sure that will be tackled. Look forward to seeing the released version!

We’re officially announcing the first release of the Android App extension to your TastyIgniter Restaurant.

This extension allows you to use an Android app that can manage your order, notify new orders, print receipts, and more. The first release version of OMS. This will be your app companion for managing your orders in the restaurant.

How did we start OMS?
As a developer and restaurant owner, we started using TastyIgniter for our restaurant, Momocha. This was a great choice for us until we ran into many problems with printers, and order management, extension installation being too much burden. There is also no way to implement order notifications with a buzzer within the browser. To solve many of these issues, we tried building an android app to handle many of the things we needed. So, it was great but we couldn’t share it in the market. This is until we solved a technically challenging problem. Thanks to a lot of encouragement, and support from my fellow restaurant owners in my town. We’re able to break down and create a solution. So, Here is the first release of our extension.

Announcement (Update on OMS) 🎉🎉

We’ve just updated the app to include new features.
  • Now you can use Ethernet, USB, Wifi on top of Bluetooth to connect your printers. You’ll be able to connect with your printers in multiple ways.
  • Background Notification - You won’t miss even a single order with our new background notification, even if your app is in the background, or the screen is off. You’ll be notified in instant about the order with a buzzer.
  • Other minor fixes.

We’ll be continuously building and improving upon the Android App. Our main goal is to set up once on the Web and be able to work seamlessly inside the app without worrying about all the nitty gritty details in Admin Panel.
